These rough Amazonite gemstones measure approximately 1" - 2" long.
Amazonite is a specimen of the feldspar family, specifically a type of microcline. The stone's color can be attributed to its chemical composition and composition that of its family, specifically, it is from the amounts of lead that are within the specimen. Its chemical makeup is also, aluminum, potassium, oxygen, and silicon. Despite its name and claimed origins of being found by the Amazon, there are mines all across the world, such as Africa, South America, Europe, North America, and even parts of Europe.
