Metaphysical Properties, Uses, and Meaning of Selenite

Selenite is a wonderful stone for those who need strong support and guidance in decision-making.  Selenite brings clarity, focus, and honesty to the fore within your thoughts, easing the mind and soothing chaotic energy. It clears blockages and voids, allowing for restoration to begin. As you work with selenite you can feel a connection to Lunar powers and energy wash through you.  This Lunar connection is what makes Selenite such a potent tool for cleansing and charging other gemstones. By laying your gems on a Selenite tile or within a Selenite dish, they can be cleansed of any lingering negative energies and experience renewal.

Selenite naturally comes in shades of white and orange, and is a fragile salt-based stone which is prone to flaking and internal fractures. Clarity varies from specimen to specimen, with most exhibiting a lovely cloudy semi-opacity.

PLEASE NOTE: Selenite should not be exposed to liquids or to a humid environment, as it may “melt” due to its salt-based nature. When handling selenite, take care to avoid splinters. If a splinter occurs, rinse hands immediately in lukewarm water and avoid scrubbing. Selenite should also never come into contact with the eyes or mouth.

Ms. Annonymous!
Very attractive selenite sphere

This selenite sphere, albeit smaller than I expected, is very attractive, though I noticed that some of it has striations that are interupted by what looks like internal cracks; maybe it's supposed to look like that! I am still glad I bought it! I love Selenite!
