Members of the Apophyllite group include (but are not limited to) Fluorapophyllite, Chromocyclite, Leucocyclite, and Hydroxyapophyllite. Most specimens that collectors refer to as "Apophyllite" are specifically Fluorapophyllite, which ranges from colorless to pale green, yellow, or even light pink and may be translucent to opaque. As phyllosilicates, Apophyllite group gems are sensitive to heat and can become brittle if exposed to sunlight excessively.
