Lepidolite is a variety of Mica that ranges from silvery-lilac to maroon to deep purple in its color due to the presence of Lithium and Manganese. Raw Lepidolite typically appears flaky, showing multi-layered and highly reflective cleavages. It can also be found growing alongside Milky Quartz (sometimes call Snow Quartz). This intergrowth gives the Lepidolite a more robust physical structure and creates striking visual contrast.
