How to Cleanse Mookaite
Mookaite is a 6 - 7 on the Mohs hardness scale, which means that it is safe for short-term water submersion. We never advise long-term submersion of gemstones as over time this can cause them to soften, making them easier to scratch or break. A Selenite bowl or tile is a perfectly safe way to charge and cleanse your Mookaite, as is Full Moonlight exposure, since these things will not cause any harm to your stone. Smoke cleansing with Sage, Incense, Palo Santo, or dried herbs is another safe way of cleansing Mookaite.
