What is Green Aventurine?
Green Aventurine is a naturally green variety of Quartz crystal whose color is caused by Fuchsite (a variety of Muscovite Mica) particles trapped within. Depending on the size and orientation of the Fuchsite inclusions within the Quartz, Green Aventurine may appear semi-translucent to opaque and ranges from a pale to deep sage green. High quality pieces of Green Aventurine display internal glitter due to the Fuchsite within. Like all forms of Quartz, other mineral inclusions may be present as well, resulting in streaks of brown, black, or orange, and natural internal fractures are also common.
