We use these knit gloves in our shop routinely. The PVC dots provide great grip when lifting flats or boxes of stones and minerals. They are also great gloves for handling stones that are highly-polished and are slippery - especially if you are lifting heavy gemstones (cathedrals, towers, spheres, etc.).
These gloves are not recommended for stones or minerals that naturally shed or cleave, like selenite, as the stone particles can be embedded in the knit material.
