Handmade in our shop, this is a natural, Cantera Mexican Yellow Opal, mounted in a handmade sterling silver & copper bezel. This is a Cantera Mexican Matrix Yellow Opal with a pocket of rainbow flash.
This Cantera Mexican Matrix Opal is 14.80 carats.
These Matrix Opals grow in the gemstone matrix Rhyolite. They are quarry opals that grow naturally in Mexico. This opal is from Magdelina, Mexico. It was purchased by us, directly from the quarry. We turned this Matrix Opal cabochon into a sterling silver pendant; complementing its beauty with a natural copper bezel. We use sterling silver for the mounting & bail.
The pendant is 0.95" long by 0.67" wide.
