Yellow Apatite Meaning and Metaphysical Properties
Yellow Apatite is a crystal for expanding our spiritual wisdom, self confidence, and self reliance. Often used for manifestation, particularly when it comes to goals and opportunities, Yellow Apatite (also known as Golden Apatite), is considered a beacon for positive change, growth, and new experiences. Associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra and Crown Chakra, the meaning of Yellow Apatite is all about magnetizing those things in life that will bring us the highest happiness and having the motivational drive to see our happiness realized. Work with Yellow Apatite when you are looking to build insight and awareness of your opportunities for success, positive connections, and paths to enlightenment.

Yellow Apatite, sometimes called Gold Apatite or Golden Apatite, is a natural gem in the Apatite Group. Most gemstones referred to as Apatite by crystal stores are categorized as Fluorapatite, and this is the case for most Yellow Apatite specimens. Hydroxylapatite can exhibit yellow coloration as well, but is far rarer than yellow Fluorapatite. In addition, Yellow Hydroxylapatite is more likely to be semi-opaque than Yellow Fluorapatite. Because of its hexagonal crystal system, Yellow Apatite can sometimes be mistaken for other gemstones, such as Heliodor Beryl, Phenakite aka Phenacite, or Milarite. An easy distinction, apart from chemical makeup, is that Yellow Fluorapatite is lower on the Mohs hardness scale, at a 5 compared to Beryl's 7.5 to 8, Phenakite's 7.5 to 8, and even Milarite's 6. Because of its color, Yellow Fluorapatite can even be mistaken for Yellow Topaz, but the two are not the same. For one, Yellow Topaz has an orthorhombic crystal system, and for another, it's an 8 on the Mohs hardness scale. This enigmatic quality is expected of the Apatite group, though! After all, the name Apatite is derived from the Greek απατάω, meaning to deceive or to be deceptive.

Like a gift to myself 🎁

Lovely piece of Golden Apatite, definitely makes a nice addition to my collection! I do love getting packages of stones ~ I know what I bought, but until I see them with my own eyes, it just doesn't feel real 😁 And then just like Christmas 🎁 I get to open the package and see them and hold them ~ they just bring me so much joy 🥰
