Ruby Zoisite, also called Ruby in Zoisite, Zoisite Ruby, or Ruby with Zoisite, is a beguiling gem mixing hues of green and black with tiny dots of pinkish-maroon. These peekaboo dots are Ruby corundum, and are sometimes hard to detect without a UV light. 
 Although Zoisite can be found in various shades from colorless to to violet and as orthorhombic crystals or as masses in crystalline schists, Ruby Zoisite specifically features the green, massive coarse-grained variety of the stone, often with black Amphibole minerals present (typically dark Pargasite). As a polymorph of Clinozoisite, Zoisite shares that same chemical makeup but a different crystal structure.
