Celestite Meaning and Metaphysical Properties
Celestine, also called Celestite, is associated with the Higher Chakras (Throat Chakra, Third Eye Chakra, and Crown Chakra) since it is a supreme gem for spiritual ascension and cleansing away negativity. Connected to the Angelic and Celestial realms, Celestine is often used to facilitate clearer communication with Guardians, Guides, Ancestors, and Muses. It is also an exceptionally useful stone for Astral and Dream work, helping us to sharpen our focus and strengthen our intuition for a greater understanding of the signs, symbols, and hidden wisdoms the universe sends us. Celestine geodes are often kept in the bedroom to assist with lucid dreaming and promote prophetic visions, but the gem is also helpful for waking Divination methods such as reading Tarot cards, scrying, or throwing Runes. Celestine is truly a conduit for divinity, helping open the mind to depths of knowledge that might otherwise elude us and giving us a strong spiritual compass to follow as we pursue enlightenment. Work with Celestine in moments when you most need guidance, harmony, or elevated awareness, and you will find that this gem resonates with a radiant, uplifting energy.

Celestite, also known as Celestine, is a natural gem in the Baryte Group and can be found in cavity growths around halite, gypsum, limestone, or dolomite deposits, as well as in fibrous veinlets among other types of sedimentary rock. Although best known for its highly prized blue-grey growths, Celestite can be found in a number of different colors from white to green, reddish-brown to colorless. Semi-translucent to transparent and quite brittle, Celestite is only a 3 - 3.5 on the Mohs scale, making it a bit more fragile than other gems.  Tumbled Celestite stones often feature dips, chips, and internal fractures since the crystal is so easy to cleave. This is also why Celestite jewelry can be hard to come by, as the gemstone is notoriously difficult to facet or turn into cabochons.
